Stopped for lunch on our way to Nashville and experienced one of the best quaint southern diner experiences. The food was good with the fudge pie being the star of the experience!
Definitely worth trying! Great food and great service! We were driving home on our way from St. Louis and didn't want fast food. Saw the reviews and knew we had to stop by! Try it! You won't be disappointed!
This cafe is in a really small town. We had made a day trip to go see waterfalls in Tennessee from Huntsville and we were hungry on the way. This place had a good rating so we stopped by. We showed up 5 minutes before they opened but they still let us go in and sit down. The ladies who worked there were extremely nice. The restaurant has all different kinds of dinner tables. You’ll most likely see a style someone in your family has had. I really liked the unique decorations and layout. It felt relaxing and fun to eat there. They don’t have a very large menu but I enjoy a minimalist approach. The food was incredible. We got country fried steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. First off, I’m picky when it comes to Mac and cheese and most places don’t have a good recipe. This was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The mashed potatoes were delicious too and the country fried steak with gravy was incredible. I’m so glad we stopped here. If we ever pass through we will definitely stop again.
Omgosh What an awesome find, as from scratch chefs we sorta struggle with finding places that have that same footprint... well stop looking this is the place!!! we pulled in on the bike, went in, awesome lil place with big taste, big service, and big southern charm amen , we both had the fried catfish, we each chose different sides ( 5 total) the Mac n cheese yummy! The fried okra so yummy mash Taters n gravy oh yeah! the catfish with the homemade tarter sauce mmm mm mmm their cookin with love!! When we arrived there 4 other patrons with in 15 minutes or so ... the place filled up quick and that speaks volumes for sure, nothing disappointed! Start to finish was awesome we can't wait to return
We made it just in time to visit this place before they closed for the day. On top of having a great location, unique building, and relaxed decor, the food was still the highlight of our visit.
What a pleasant surprise this place was. Real mashed potatoes and some of the best greens I've ever had. The country fried steak was good, too, but i may just order sides next time. I'll definitely go out of my way to eat here from now on.
We have to travel a different route to stop here but ALWAYS worth it. Fabulous home cooked food, super friendly people.
